Hi everyone!
(Some quick housekeeping before we launch into the post - by popular demand, I am reposting this post for you in english. A few people advised that they would benefit more from these posts being in english. So, in light of this, each week the Sunday post will be posted twice, one in english and one in Portuguese. The videos on the posts will always remain in english with english subtitles. Ok, now that small bit of housekeeping is done, let’s launch into the english version of the post!)
Welcome to the first instalment of Tamo Junto. I am so glad you are here.
I am very excited to share with you our first special guest, Rosa. She is an Australian with a great love for Australia’s natural landscapes. It is your challenge this week to watch the video of her and then complete the mini-class exercises after the video. These exercises are to check and reinforce your listening comprehension, english grammar and use of Australian slangs. By listening to and watching videos of real aussies, then doing a mini-class after watching the video, I believe it is possible to improve your understanding of Australian english, grammar and knowledge of the Australian culture and slangs. In todays post I will also disclose Rosa’s favourite town to visit between Sydney and Gold Coast and why it’s worth visiting.
Also, a fun fact about Rosa is that she is the daughter of an iconic Australian legend, Fred Hollows, who was an eye surgeon and he restored sight to thousands of people around the world. Okay, i’ll mention one more cool thing about Rosa before I introduce her, she works as a carpenter. Here she is guys, our very first special Aussie guest on Tamo Junto….we welcome Rosa!
